Job Description - IT Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to join our IT team based in Amsterdam, focusing on the management and support of our modern workplace environment with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Kandji. The ideal candidate will handle complex technical issues, participate in IT projects, and drive the implementation of modern workplace technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Kandji Management: Administer Microsoft Kandji for device management, application deployment, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Take initiative to optimise the Mac-based modern workplace, leveraging Kandji for device management, configuration, and compliance policies.
  • Resolve issues on macOS and Windows, including hardware, software, network, and security challenges.
  • Assist in IT projects focused on Mac endpoint security, automation, and system upgrades, utilising Kandji for deployment and management.
  • Manage identity and access for Mac devices through Kandji’s integrations, and Entra IdP ensuring secure and seamless authentication workflows.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for Mac and Kandji support processes; mentor junior staff on Kandji best practices.
  • Assist in critical incident response for macOS environments, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures using Kandji insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, with at least 3 years in a 3rd line role or similar.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or similar Azure or Microsoft qualifications preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of Kandji, SCCM, and other modern management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience with project management methodologies is advantageous.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of Window Server, Azure, AD/Entra, MDM platforms.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
