We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on advancing underwater security technologies. This role is supporting development, testing, and deployment of cutting-edge optical sensor systems for underwater surveillance and security applications. You will become a part of our young and enthusiastic R&D department, working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary and stimulating international environment, with great growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and prototyping of sensors, sensor enclosures, mounts, and mechanical assemblies.
Collaborate with other sensor development, test and production engineers to allow for smooth product development flow from concept design trough testing to product release.
Support manufacturing processes, including creating detailed drawings, assembly instructions, and BOMs.
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of mechanical systems.
Maintain project documentation and ensure designs meet quality and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field.
Proficiency in CAD tools (ideally SolidWorks, PDM).
Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Experience prototyping and prototype testing.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Must currently reside in the Netherlands.
You'll be working with clients in the defence and security sectors, obtaining a Certificate of No Objection issued by the AIVD (Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service) is mandatory.
