Junior Project Buyer

As a Junior Project Buyer, you will be assigned to various equipment within the department and be responsible for the purchase order. The procurement department covers the entire supply chain and is responsible for all subcontracting of fabrication, procurement and expediting of materials and equipment and all logistics operations for our projects worldwide.

In this role you are commercially responsible for achieving procurement results in various ways while staying within budget and meeting deadlines. You handle the requests, negotiate with external suppliers (e.g. delivery times) and perform the commercial review, in order to decide on where to purchase the equipment.

You will collaborate with departments such as Engineering, Quality control and Project Management. As a member of the Procurement team, you will work close with your team members and report to the Manager Operational Procurement & Supply Management.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

·       Send out requests for quotations, evaluation of offers, negotiations and

·       closing of contracts within the set budget and timeframe.

·       Identify bottlenecks in the project execution and anticipates on the risks

·       Communicates the status and development of the assigned scope within

·       the project with the involved stakeholders

·       Work closely together with the expeditor who is responsible for the purchase

·       order in execution

·       Monitoring the activities of internal/external parties, and implement

·       performance in our Supplier Evaluation Tool

·       Organize processed data, documentation and administration efficiently in

·       the system

Candidate requirements

•            Equivalent academic level related to Procurement or Supply Chain

•            Preferably hold a NEVI 1 certification

•            Relevant experience in Project related Supply Chain activities

•            Familiar with legal and financial aspects of purchasing

•            Able to perform effectively under time pressure by acting swiftly, maintaining oversight and structure, and setting the right priorities.

•            A good commercial sense
