As a Junior Sustainability Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our mission “Clean Fuel in every Ship”. You will manage and optimize our clean fuels mass balance tracking system and ensure it meets the highest standards to further scale our business. With your quantitative skills and attention to detail, you will actively contribute to the renewable energy transition within the shipping industry.
Key responsibilities
You’ll be at the forefront of driving our environmental commitment forward. You’ll take ownership of our mass balance tracking system, ensuring it accurately reflects material flows and supports our sustainable supply chain. In this role, you’ll be trusted to prepare and validate Proof of Sustainability (PoS) documentation, showcasing our dedication to meeting the highest sustainability standards.
Using your analytical skills, you’ll turn data into insights, helping us reduce waste, lower emissions, and use resources more efficiently—each step aligned with our broader sustainability goals. You’ll also ensure we stay compliant with key certifications like ISCC and CSR-D, continually looking for ways to enhance our processes for better data accuracy and traceability.
Collaboration is key, and you’ll work hand-in-hand with our teams in production, supply chain, and procurement, aligning everyone’s efforts toward a more sustainable future. As a valuable team member, you’ll support internal and external audits, staying prepared with well-organized documentation, and monitor regulatory trends, ensuring our practices stay a step ahead in an ever-evolving sustainability landscape.
We are looking to recruit a proactive, well–organized, ambitious, and eager-to-learn Sustainability Specialist for our Clean Fuels team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in sustainability, supply chain management, or a related role.
- Understanding of mass balance systems and sustainability certifications (preferably ISCC-EU).
- Excellent data management, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex datasets and create accurate documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment concepts is a plus
- Salary ranging from € 2850 to € 3500 per month, based on experience plus 8% holiday allowance paid monthly.
