  • Support the mapping and analysis of interventions (and their financing needs) within and across landscapes and facilitate matchmaking with donors and investors.

  • Play a leading role in investor relations.

3. Carbon finance

  • Support the carbon finance team with mapping and analysis of potential investors in carbon projects and buyers of carbon credits aligned with Commonland’s mission and buyer criteria. Facilitate matchmaking with investors and carbon credit buyers.

4. Influencing & Advocacy

  • Participate in relevant conferences and events to advocate for holistic landscape restoration and landscape finance.

  • Support development of landscape finance publications and thought leadership.

You bring

  • Experience (± 4-6 years) in either finance, international development, and/or consulting.

  • Strong stakeholder and project management skills (to coordinate landscape finance assessments, strategy processes, finance mechanisms, etc., with several partners).

  • Ability to communicate complex information in a simple and clear way.

  • Knowledge of working in Europe with EU-level experience is an asset.

  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required; Spanish proficiency is an asset.

  • A passion for nature conservation and sustainable development.

We offer you

  • A 12-month contract with Commonland with the possibility of extension.

  • Salary range between €4000 – €4500, depending on level of work experience.

  • Annual training budget of €2.000 for personal development.

  • Holiday allowance of 8%, collective pension scheme and a home office setup budget.
