The team supports the strategic design and implementation of data analytics approaches for standardized compliance monitoring. It addresses regulatory challenges and contributes to the broader goals of ING by improving compliance effectiveness and transparency. The role serves global compliance teams and has a significant impact on regulatory reporting and senior management decision-making.

Job description

This role leads the Ongoing Assurance & Insights Team. Responsibilities include delivering accurate and timely results on compliance control effectiveness, designing data-driven monitoring strategies, and engaging with regulators and senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership and analytical skills, capable of driving global compliance initiatives.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

• Leading the Ongoing Assurance & Insights team globally.

• Implementing QA approaches for AI initiatives and CC&E and DPC ongoing monitoring activities.

• Overseeing data analytics strategy and governance for compliance monitoring.

• Contributing to internal transformation initiatives and strategic compliance programs.

• Managing global teams, including hiring and performance management.

• Engaging with regulators, industry bodies, and internal stakeholders.

• Ensuring efficient execution and resource allocation across global teams.

Specific Knowledge and Experience

• A university degree or equivalent, with desirable certifications such as ACAMS.

• Over 10 years of professional experience in banking, risk management, or audit.

• Experience at both corporate and operational levels.

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

• Knowledge of risk verticals including FCC, organizational and market conduct.

• Excellent English communication skills.

• Strategic thinking, analytical skills, and stakeholder management expertise.

Reporting Line and Classification

Lead Ongoing Assurance & Insights (GJA Level 20) reports hierarchically to Head of Compliance Frameworks & Control located in Netherlands.
