About the Role

The Logistics Coordinator is a member of the logistics team and coordinates and provides support for the flows of materials, information and finished goods incoming and outcoming.   

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating shipments of products and if applicable managing consolidation of multiple orders and partial shipments for a given customer. 

• Calculating or requesting the quote for freight if required. 

• Conducting direct communication with customers via phone/email/videoconferencing to confirm the deliveries of orders and providing accurate information on shipment. 

• Planning and managing the shipment and addressing the specific requirements in co-operation with Operations for complex orders. 

• Creating shipping documents and communicating to the warehouse and freight forwarder. 

• Complying with transport of dangerous goods regulation, if required. 

• Booking the shipment with the freight forwarder.  

• Collecting relevant proof documents of the shipment including the customs declaration in the ERP system 

• Preparing, checking, distributing customer invoices and credit notes in collaboration with Finance. 

• Assisting with the flows of products and parts on a daily basis and according to the one-time-right principle and company stock policies.  

• Assisting collection of finished goods from production department for storing in warehouse and/or preparing for delivery to customer 

• Assisting in correct packing of products according to company quality standards.  

• Registering any product- and process non-conformities.  

• Identifying  process improvements to create efficiencies within the department  

• Managing tasks and duties according to the applicable quality standards 

• Maintaining the operational and quality standards in the applicable company (ERP, quality and CRM) systems. 

Requirements:

• Mid level Applied Education - MBO - level 4


• Affinity with warehouse processes + dealing with freight forwarders


• 2-3 years of experience in a technical production/warehouse environment


• Good command of Dutch and English – both verbally & written


• Team player as well as having the ability to work independently

• Experience with ERP (SAP by Design)/MRP systems is a plus

• Dangerous goods certificate - Lithium Battery (Air/Road/Sea) - is an advantage (training can be offered)
