Are you passionate about engineering and eager to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? As a Maintenance Engineer at McCain, you'll play a key role in keeping our production lines running smoothly and efficiently. You'll work closely with the Maintenance Manager and your colleagues to resolve technical issues, optimize maintenance strategies, and ensure reliable operations.

This position is based at our production facility in Lelystad. Over time, you'll also have the opportunity to work remotely for part of your role, such as planning and preparation activities.

What will you do?

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the reliability and performance of our production equipment by:

• Developing, planning, and continuously improving maintenance processes.


• Optimizing preventive maintenance plans and analyzing equipment failures.


• Supervising maintenance activities during scheduled maintenance days (once every two weeks).


• Providing training and guidance on processes, equipment, and safety procedures.


• Analyzing maintenance data to identify recurring issues and implement sustainable improvements.


• Presenting technical plans and coordinating maintenance shutdowns and planned outages.


• Implementing and maintaining maintenance plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and asset data in SAP.


• Managing CAPEX lists and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).


• Collaborating closely with maintenance technicians, production teams, and external contractors to ensure maximum equipment availability.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a proactive and analytical professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and driving continuous improvement.

You bring:

• A completed technical degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field.


• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.


• An analytical approach and a proactive attitude toward identifying and solving problems.


• Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, industrial automation, and control engineering.


• Experience or confidence in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and eliminate underlying causes of equipment failures.

• A gross monthly salary of up to €5,387, depending on your experience and qualifications.


• An annual bonus of 2% to 4.4% of your yearly salary, based on company performance and individual results.
