Job Description :

Key Tasks and Activities:

• Management of the European Tankcontainer depot network/infrastructure to adequately support Eurotainer business activities/requirements in accordance with the BU’s procedures and local requirements.

• Ensure that the European depot operations are in accordance with local and international regulatory/legislation requirements and the BU’s procedures & policies.

• Management of the depot M&R cycle (turn-around time; from off-hire to available), repair trends, inventory and related costs against set KPIs and implementation of corrective actions in case of deviations in cooperation with local M&R teams.

• Ensure costs efficiency of the depot network and the related activities such as the storage, handling, repair costs and repair time tariffs including budget responsibility for M&R related costs.

• Management of exceptional depot situations such as congestion, labour force changes and sudden equipment demands etc.

• Execute the depot audit, stock audit and in-fleet inspection program to identify M&R irregularities, container defects/quality issues and stock discrepancies within the region.

• Ensure that M&R & depot related support by M&R teams is provided as follows:

- Technical assistance as required by other BU staff/departments (e.g. Sales, Customer service, Purchasing & Technical, Fleet Management, Marketing, IT).

- Technical assistance to depots & customers for all operational and technical matters related to the BU’s assets.

- Act as interface and support depots with IT related topics (e.g. EDI/API connections), training and resolving issues as required in cooperation with BU IT

- Validation of vendor payments/invoices as required.

• Employee management; resource and productivity planning, supervision, performance review, development, training and coaching.

• Any other task/project as required by the management.

Regular domestic and international travel is required.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications Required :

• A recognised education/qualification in a technical/management capacity with a degree (minimum B.A.).

• + relevant work experience within the Tankcontainer industry in a technical/operational role and experience in operational process design.

Key Skills/Knowledge Required:

• Experience/Know-How/Network in the container leasing/shipping/transportation/depot/manufacturing industry.

• Technical knowledge/understanding of ISO Tank Containers.

• Experience in leadership and people management.

• Analytical skills and pro-active problem solver mentality.

• Experience in process optimization.

• Capability to manage vendors on different levels on production and administrative side.

• Strong communication & negotiation skills (in English).

• Good inter-personal skills & understanding for cross cultural diversity.

• Digital and technological literacy; High competency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).

• Languages:
  Fluent communication skills in English, written and spoken + at least one additional European language (ideally Dutch)
