As a Meeting & Events Specialist, you are the main point of contact for arranging meetings, trainings, and events for our clients.  
 
You translate a briefing into the right venue, negotiate rates and terms, and act fast when a booking changes at the last minute or is at risk of falling through.  
You build and maintain relationships with venue sales managers, which means that even when a hotel says "fully booked," you are often still able to find a solution.

This role calls for strong communication skills, a good sense of client needs, and the composure to manage multiple requests at once. What's missing: the irregular hours. No split shifts, no closing shifts, no double Sundays.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the complete venue sourcing and booking process for meetings and events.
• Advise clients on the most suitable venues based on their requirements and objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and venue partners.
• Negotiate competitive rates and conditions to create the best value for clients.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the booking journey.
• Accurately process booking and event information in our platform.
• Collaborate with international colleagues to achieve team and company goals.
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of Meetingselect.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Leisure, Tourism, ora relatedfield.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within Hospitality, Meetings & Events, or the MICE industry.
• Fluent inDutch and English, both written and spoken.
• You are based in the Amsterdam area.
• A proactive and independent mindset, while also enjoying working in a team.
• Strong communicationand negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• A solution-oriented attitude and eagerness to learn.
• The ability to remain calm and focusedina dynamic environment.
• Tech-savvy to be able to work with our technology platform
• Flexibility to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
• A collaborative spirit and passion for delivering outstanding service.
