For an industrial production environment, we are seeking an experienced Intermediate Safety Expert (MVK). In this role, you will play a key part in the implementation of the '9 Life Saving Rules' project, which focuses on increasing safety awareness and structurally improving safe working practices.
You will be responsible for guiding employees and supervisors during the implementation of these safety rules, creating support within the organization, and embedding the new working methods in daily practice. Through your coaching approach, expertise, and visibility on the shop floor, you will actively contribute to a safe and future-proof working environment.
What will you do?
• Make an active contribution to the implementation and embedding of the '9 Life Saving Rules' project within the production organization.
• Guide employees, contractors, and supervisors in applying the 9 Life Saving Rules in daily practice.
• Increase safety awareness on the shop floor through coaching, training, and education.
• Implement, monitor, and optimize safety plans and safety processes.
• Identifying risks and initiating improvement measures in the areas of safety, quality, and operational management.
• Conducting workplace inspections, safety rounds, and risk analyses.
• Drafting, updating, and implementing safety instructions, procedures, and work instructions.
• Advising management and employees on safety issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Preparing reports on progress, results, and safety improvements.
• Acting as a point of contact and coach regarding safety within the organization.
Who are we looking for?
• Completed education at MBO+ level.
• Secondary Safety Engineering (MVK) diploma.
• Demonstrable experience with the implementation of safety programs, behavioral safety initiatives, or safety plans.
• Experience within an industrial production environment.
• In possession of a valid VCA certificate.
• Available for 32 to 40 hours per week.
• Excellent command of the Dutch language.
• Senior level with demonstrable coaching skills.
• Solution-oriented, pragmatic, and strong in building support on the shop floor.
• Understanding of daily practices within a production environment and the ability to align safety with them.
