Your role:

  • Lead and develop a global organization of Procurement Engineering leaders and Procurement Engineers across 3 regions / 4 locations — Best (NL), Latham (US), Pune (IN), and Suzhou (China) — creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and value creation, while effectively leading leaders across multiple time zones and various foci.

  • Development and deployment of a Business Procurement Strategy for MR based on customer needs, technology roadmap, and global supplier ecosystem

  • Ability to think End-to-end:

    • STRATEGICALLY:  From a product development lifecycle – from AD through to EOL, to serve R&D, Finance, and Product Management to drive innovation, financial performance, and resilience

    • OPERATIONALLY:  From sub-tier supplier through to service operations, to serve supply chain teams to drive performance, compliance, and to support escalation management

  • Own succession planning and comprehensive talent management, including workforce planning, leadership development, employee selection, performance management, compensation processes, and career progression.

  • Oversee the end‑to‑end performance cycle for procurement and sourcing activities, setting expectations, monitoring delivery, resolving escalations, and ensuring sustained business impact.

  • Drive early supplier and sourcing engagement in Advanced Development and New Product Development, shaping sourcing strategy to deliver competitive outcomes for cost, quality, and risk.

  • Lead strategic sourcing plans for New Product projects, define and govern targets for cost, quality, risk, and total cost of ownership based on external benchmarking and market intelligence.

  • Champion and scale Design for Excellence (DfX) across the organization, embedding cost, quality, manufacturability, and risk considerations into product and service design from the earliest phases.

  • Guide Product Sourcing governance in New Product Development, including GaTe Reviews, Phase‑In / Phase‑Out transitions, and supplier readiness to ensure successful launches and sustainable ramp‑up.

  • Steer Product Cost Roadmaps and post‑release performance management, partner cross‑functionally to continuously improve cost competitiveness, quality, and resilience.

  • Shape modularity and platforming strategies across the product portfolio to enable scalability, efficiency, and adaptability to future market and technology developments.

  • Lead continuous improvement through innovation, best‑practice deployment, and enterprise learning, leveraging a global virtual community of procurement and sourcing experts.

  • Manage complex, global, and ambiguous situations with an enterprise mindset, balancing business priorities, supplier risk, governance, and stakeholder interests while communicating a compelling strategic vision.

You're the right fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement Operations, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 11 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, OR 9 years with a Master’s degree, in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related areas.

  • Experience in leading and managing large teams.

  • Strong people management skills with the ability to manage change, build high-performing teams, and influence stakeholders across functions.

  • Proven expertise in procurement policies, processes, and supply chain management, with strong business acumen and risk management capabilities.

  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, budget oversight, and program management, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Familiarity with DfX methodology and experience in applying structured approaches to deliver sustainable value.

  • Proven ability to drive change across the supplier network while fostering strong business partnerships.
