Job Description - NetApp Storage Consultant

Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform.

Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.

Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.

Be a productive member of the team.

Requirements

Strong experience working with NetApp Storage environments, including FAS, AFF, StorageGRID, E-Series, SolidFire, Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO), and Cloud Backup Service (CBS).

In-depth knowledge of NetApp ONTAP administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Experience creating low-level and high-level solution designs and conducting Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to evaluate new features and technologies.

Hands-on experience with StorageGRID, NetApp Data Infrastructure Insights, and automation tools such as Ansible and Rundeck.

Knowledge of NetApp EF Series storage systems, NetApp CBS, FC SAN environments, Cisco MDS switches, Rubrik Backup, and Azure Cloud.

Proven experience managing complex enterprise-scale NAS platforms within mission-critical environments.

Perform new storage hardware setup, validation, and configuration activities.

Configure disk partitions, storage aggregates, and logical network settings.

Plan and execute storage migrations from legacy hardware platforms to new NetApp storage environments.

Perform firmware upgrades on Cisco cluster switches and NetApp storage platforms.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities to minimize business impact and downtime.

Manage storage decommissioning activities following organizational standards and procedures.

Support storage performance monitoring, capacity planning, and operational optimization.

Coordinate with vendors and support teams for issue resolution, upgrades, and hardware maintenance.

Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure storage services are aligned with business requirements.

Knowledge of VMware environments and storage integration.

Understanding of ITSM processes and service management practices.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working in enterprise data center and cloud environments.
