Job Description - Network Support Specialist

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Network Support Specialist to join our UniQue team.

What will you be bringing to the team?

  • Provide support across all areas of the Enterprise Services Operations Centre (ESOC) as part of a functional support team.
  • Support the Incident Management process, dispatching incidents to the appropriate technical teams for resolution and assessing the operational impact, including affected services and users.
  • Deliver Level 1 technical support for Local Area Networks (LANs), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Data Centre Operations.
  • Monitor, control, and troubleshoot data systems and services in support of enterprise-wide IT customers and critical operational environments.
  • Administer monitoring and control platforms to ensure optimal performance and availability of data and services.
  • Assist in coordinating corrective actions in case of service degradation or failure.
  • Use automated tools and centralized service management platforms to restore service levels and ensure quality of service.
  • Follow established processes and senior guidance while contributing to process improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to restore services and ensure service continuity.
  • Draft and maintain operational documentation, including user guidance, Level 1 procedures, and interface specifications.

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • 3 years of higher education after secondary school with minimum 5 years in a related field.
  • Prior experience in technical support for networking, WAN, and voice systems, with a strong understanding of telecommunications, networking, and IT solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with LAN environments.
  • Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.
  • Familiarity with VMware Aria Operations (formerly vROps).
  • Proven experience in service management practices, including incident and problem management, with a customer-focused support approach.
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous incidents and adapt effectively to changing priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Proficient in using service management and ITSM tools.
    • Prior experience in Network Operations Centers (NOC) or Security Operations Centers (SOC).
    • Familiarity with monitoring tools like SPECTRUM, Zabbix, or SCOM.
    • CCNA certification.
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English is required (B2 level).
