Night Ambassador

As our Night Ambassador, you are a key presence in the hotel during the night shift and an important point of contact for our guests.

You combine genuine hospitality with attention to detail and a proactive mindset. You remain calm when circumstances change, anticipate guest needs, and ensure that the front desk operates smoothly throughout the night. In addition, you are responsible for preparing breakfast for the morning service and ensuring a seamless handover to the daytime team.

You work closely with colleagues across the hotel and maintain clear communication with the management team. We value teamwork, flexibility, and initiative, and we encourage you to contribute your ideas and experience to the continued improvement of our guest experience.

As part of our team, you are also willing to support other departments when needed. You understand that great hospitality is a shared responsibility and are happy to step in wherever your support can make a difference.

Your Responsibilities

As a Night Ambassador, you will be responsible for:

• Welcoming guests and providing professional, friendly assistance throughout the night

• Checking guests in and out in accordance with reservation details and hotel procedures

• Preparing and issuing room key cards

• Providing guests with accurate and up-to-date information about the hotel and local area

• Recording and passing on messages clearly and accurately

• Writing, replying to, and sending standard correspondence and emails

• Processing guest payments through the hotel’s cash register and online payment systems

• Completing end-of-shift administration and accurately reconciling payments received

• Monitoring the front desk and responding proactively to guest requests, incidents, and unexpected situations

• Preparing breakfast for the morning service and ensuring everything is properly set up

• Supporting colleagues in other departments when required to ensure smooth hotel operations

• Contributing to a professional, welcoming, and service-focused atmosphere throughout the hotel

• A gross salary of approximately €2,600 per month based on a 40-hour workweek

• A 10% night shift allowance

• 8% holiday allowance

Why You Are the Perfect Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Is comfortable working independently during the night and willing to take responsibility for all duties that come with the night shift

• Has an HBO working and thinking level

• Has previous experience in the hotel industry, preferably within 4- or 5-star hotels

• Communicates clearly, professionally, and confidently with guests and colleagues

• Speaks English fluently; Dutch and any additional language are considered an advantage

• Is a true team player who contributes to a strong sense of teamwork and togetherness

• Is flexible and willing to support other departments when needed

• Is comfortable taking responsibility for breakfast preparation

• Lives in Amsterdam or within reasonable commuting distance
