About the Job 
 

As an Operational Buyer, you are responsible for ensuring 100% material availability by acting as the key link between suppliers, planning, procurement, quality, and production. You will operate in a fast-paced supply chain environment, ensuring materials are available for production and assembly while continuously improving supplier performance and internal processes. 

 

What you'll do  

  • Manage procurement activities for materials  for production and assembly 

  • Communicate daily with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and timelines 

  • Coordinate transportation when  

  • Act as the main point of contact between internal stakeholders (planning, quality, procurement, production) 

  • Identify and proactively escalate potential material shortages 

  • Handle non-conformance and quality issues with suppliers 

  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance together with Procurement and QHSE 

  • Initiate and support improvement actions to optimize delivery performance 

 

What you'll need  

  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO level), preferably in logistics, supply chain, or engineering 

  • Strong experience working with ERP systems (preferably MSD) 

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders 

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) 

 

What’s nice to have  

  • Fluent in Dutch (written and spoken) 

  • Experience working in a dynamic manufacturing or supply chain environment 

  • Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
