About the Position

As the Packaging Manager, you play a crucial role within the production process at McCain’s Kruiningen facility. You report directly to the Production Leader and are responsible for the coordination, optimization, and continuity of the packaging lines. You ensure that all activities meet strict food safety and quality standards, both those of McCain and of the food industry. A key aspect of this role is coaching, guiding, and motivating your team members, as well as maintaining a safe work environment.

What will you do?

• You take responsibility for employee safety and compliance with food safety and quality standards.


• You coordinate team members at the packaging line, organize training, and act as both example and coach.


• You collaborate with R&D and suppliers to optimize the packaging process and ensure order and cleanliness within the department.


• You assist with troubleshooting, guiding technicians in the maintenance and installation of new machines.


• Effective communication with all shifts and leading cost-saving projects are also part of your role.


• Ensure accurate and disciplined execution of SAP S/4HANA transactions for packaging operations and maintaining inventory accuracy.

What do you bring?

• Education/Experience: Technical background, experience in a similar role within the food industry.


• Skills: Strong communication skills, leadership, precision and planning skills, technical insight, computer skills (MS Office and SAP), knowledge of technical drawings, fluency in Dutch and English.


• Personal Qualities: Coaching and motivating, analytical, solution-oriented, independent, and results-driven.

Employment conditions

• Salary from €4,800 to €5,500 gross per month based on relevant work experience


• 25 vacation days and 15 “ATV” days, which you can take flexibly


• 3% year-end bonus according to the collective labour agreement (CAO)


• Commuting allowance of €0,23,- per km up to 100 km a day (two-way)
