THE ROLE
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the payroll cycle for part of our employees across 11European countries. This person will be the expert able to provide advice on payroll accuracy and partner cross-functionally through the company. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager Payroll and HR Operations. The Payroll team has 4 members and works in close cooperation with the HR Operations Specialist and HR intern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for execution of all EMEA payroll processes of certain countries with support from payroll services in each country; ensuring timely execution
- Resolution of payroll related queries and issues, being the main point of contact for all international employees and related 3rd parties in the specified countries
- Responsible for the maintenance and updating of payroll data across our systems
- Partner up with the Finance department for Audits, WKR, Wages Taxes, payroll reconciliation, month- end & year-end closing, rulings, etc.
- Support HR team with analyses and reports, benchmark, during performance management process and other projects
- Support creation and implementation of processes and policies relating to payroll, compensation, and benefits; when needed, search for and create solutions for ad-hoc payroll cases
- Assist with the implementation of the remaining payroll modules in our HR System (Oracle)
- Stay up to date with local payroll regulations
- If applicable lead the set-up of payroll in new regions
- Provide Support on current ongoing Payroll Vendor Change projects and initiatives as required.
- Responsible for Performing Payroll Controls as per the SOX Controls.
- Responsible for Payroll year end activities.
The Profile:
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll administration in an international environment; Dutch andFrench, payroll knowledge would be a significant advantage
- Completed higher education degree;
- High attention to detail, structured & organized;
- Sophisticated research, Analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, ability to work independently as well as being a team player,
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; especially Excel.
- Hands on experience on ADP Celergo systems and Oracle Fusion applications preferred.
- Ability to follow up and meet deadlines;
- Good understanding and knowledge of In-country Payroll and statutory compliance.
- Being fluent in English, and any other European languages is a plus;
- Interested and able to deal with different cultures, adaptability, and flexibility;
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality in the course of work and understand general GDPR requirements in terms of data protection
