The People Advisor provides tactical and, at times, strategic advice and operational support to middle management in the development, implementation, and safeguarding of HR policies, while ensuring effective administrative processes. In addition, the People Advisor is involved in organizational development initiatives that contribute to achieving Assai’s ambitions and goals. Together with the People Team, this role also supports individual employees across the organization.
HR Advice & Support
Advise and support Team Leads and employees in implementing HR policies and labor legislation.
Act as a sparring partner for Team Leads on organizational changes and HR-related issues.
Policy Development & Compliance
Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies, protocols, and work processes.
Ensure compliance with labor law, visa and immigration regulations, and compliance requirements across all international offices.
Operational HR Processes & Administration
Manage HR administration efficiently, including absence registration, payroll support, and drafting employment contracts.
Prepare reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Organizational Development & Talent Management
Guide Team Leads and employees through the annual Growth Management Cycle and performance management processes.
Support change initiatives and promote a high-performance culture.
Employee Support & Conflict Mediation
Provide coaching and guidance to employees and leaders on HR-related matters.
Prevent and resolve internal conflicts through mediation and constructive solutions.

Full-time or part-time employment (min 32 hours per week);
Possibility to work partly from home (33%);

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in HR or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law, immigration legislation, audits (e.g., statutory audits), and HR information systems.
Languages: Dutch (native-level) and excellent business-level English.
Project Management: Proven skills in managing projects, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Competencies: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, integrity, cultural awareness, collaboration, and team spirit.
