Job Description - Pipeline Engineer

Programmanager

What will you be doing?

You will contribute to the further development of the design from Concept Select and Basic Design to FEED, detailed engineering, execution, and commissioning.

The activities include, among others:

drafting and assessing pipeline designs for hydrogen and CO₂ transport;

Aligning piping designs with process, pigging, venting, and operational philosophies;

developing and reviewing valve diagrams, coupling diagrams, and pigging facilities;

developing pipeline configurations including crossings, tie-ins, and tracing;

establishing design principles for pipe diameters, pressure classes, and material selections;

assessing hydraulic, thermal, and mechanical design issues;

supporting studies in the field of:

coordinating with civil, geotechnical, and environmental disciplines;

supporting HAZID, HAZOP, SWIFT, and QRA processes;

reviewing contractor deliverables;

provide support during FEED, detailed engineering, and execution.

Requirement:

HBO or WO Mechanical Engineering or similar;

at least 10 years of experience with high-pressure piping systems;

experience within the oil & gas, CCS, hydrogen or process industry;

NEN 3650 series; ISO 27913; ASME B31 ;strength and stress calculations;

experience in multidisciplinary projects;

Experience as a contractor and/or owner engineer is a plus.
