Procurement Analyst

Role: Procurement Analyst.

We are looking for a Procurement Analyst to join us at JBT Marel in Boxmeer, the Netherlands.
 

JBT Marel is based on three main Divisions - Poultry, Meat & PF and DF&H.
 

The P&L is managed within each Division. As well the Supply Chain is managed within each Division.
 

Consequently, the Division Poultry has a Supply Chain organization, managing the Poultry global supply chain for the main sites Gainesville (NA), Boxmeer/ Dongen (NL) and Nitra (SK).
 

Within the Poultry Global Supply Chain organization, the department Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain set-up is positioned. This department is responsible for, amongst others, developing and managing category strategies, developing and managing supplier relationships, managing the sourcing master data as well industrializing new product developments to ensure flawless regular production in one of Poultry’s manufacturing sites or at Contract Manufacturing Partners.
 

The Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Set-up department is based on three pillars:

• Strategic Procurement
• Procurement Support Specialists
• New Product Introduction (NPI).

Within the group Procurement Support Specialists, we have a new defined role:

Poultry Procurement Analyst.
 

The Poultry business is moving towards a multi-site integrated operation. To manage, evaluate and steer the Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain organization of Poultry, the need for an analyst is growing.
 

The analyst is to develop dashboards and Procurement & NPI metrics and monitoring and analysis of these performance metrics. Also, driving analytics processes & tool development to support our end-to-end processes worldwide will be an important activity for the analyst.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define reporting requirements (incl. agreement on leading and lagging KPI’s) based on business needs together with business stakeholders and procurement management. Translate these reporting requirements into data requirements. Make clear how to create the reporting database in the right format, together with (IT) stakeholders.
• Translate reporting requirements into report design. Build databases and reports using business intelligence solutions and maintain and update this on a regular basis. Transform the reported data into actionable information for business needs. Create analyses, monitor performance, and present the results to the Poultry procurement management team and Poultry procurement teams on site.  Gather feedback and continuously improve metrics to verify effectiveness of processes.
• Develop and run dashboards monthly for strategic purchasers to enable them to improve their category strategies, supply bases and parts portfolio.
• Develop and run monthly report on external market information; Monitor market developments (commodities, logistics, geopolitical risks).
• Develop and run monthly procurement master data analysis.
• Advise procurement management on (structural) improvements, underpinned with data and dashboard analysis.
• Identify supply risks (e.g. single sourcing, geopolitical exposure, financial health).
• Generate ad hoc reports at the request of procurement management.
• Work together with program managers, business process experts and other supply chain analysts in Poultry and / or the global supply chain of JBT Marel.

Reporting line:

The Procurement Analyst will report to the Manager of the Procurement Support Specialists of Poultry.

Job requirements:

To be able to fulfill this challenging new role, following capabilities and competencies are required:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably Business Analytics, Finance or Technical
• Preferably experience in a multinational or industrial environment
• Experienced in using ERP, SAP is an advantage[CvZ2.1]
• Experienced in Microsoft Office and deeper understanding of Excel and Power BI tooling.

• Detail-oriented and highly structured.
• Eager, motivated, intrinsic drive to understand and dive deeper.
• Motivated to keep learning about new (software) tools and AI solutions.
• Problem solving mind-set.
• Capable to transfer data into knowledge / business recommendations and sell this insight.
• Language: excellent in Dutch and English.
