Are you a team player that loves an ever-changing environment and not afraid of a challenge?

We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager to play an integral role in our procurement organization by managing a range of strategic categories, for example façade cladding, roofing, steel, concrete, and other related categories. This is a key position within a small (team of 6 professionals) procurement organization with the potential for significant impact and growth.

You will manage the full procurement lifecycle, including setting the category strategy, conducting RFIs and RFPs, and will seek out new opportunities to expand our category portfolio. Your focus will also encompass the continuous improvement of the procurement process within our growing procurement team.

The position will be based in Amsterdam.

What’s needed in order to do that:

• Source and develop relationships with suppliers across various categories (steel, insulation, docking, LED, and many more).
• Manage established programs through supplier QBRs, pricing benchmark activities, performance management activities and continuous improvement.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with internal Prologis teams and serve as the primary point of contact for our preferred vendor partners from initial discovery through service delivery
• Responsible for the execution of multiple sourcing projects by working with New Development Team and Operations Constructions Managers.
  • Develop and execute category strategies
  • Set up category RFP’s and negotiate terms with suppliers.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment across various levels of the organization, including senior management, to ensure a cohesive approach
  • Measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly.
  • Implement contracts
• Partner management by understanding the needs of partners, jointly develop clear requirements, set and handle accurate expectations.
• Collaborate and listen to what your colleagues in the field and learn from their experience
• Travel might be needed (15% domestically and internationally) to meet business objectives.

• 5+ years of work experience including sourcing and procurement experience such as category management, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, supplier management, program development and/or partner management. 
• Demonstrated ability to develop Procurement Category Strategies
• Strong negotiating skills and ability to create revenue generating deal structures.
• Bachelor's Degree
• Shown success in leading sophisticated projects and categories, reducing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), delivering significant savings, mitigating risks and improving service levels.
• Ability to lead and collaborate in complex cross functional teams.
• Analytical skills, problem solving, logical and methodical problem solver.
• Communication skills: Proactively engage business partners, building relationships, interacting with senior level executives authoritatively.
• Demonstrates integrity & builds trust: Promote, practice, and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Strong integrity – calm, organized, conscientious, positive demeanor and vigilant.
• Excellent in Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Fluency in English
