Production Manager (m/w/d)

Cartonplast Nederland B.V. is a leading provider in the Benelux region operating a pool system of reusable plastic interlayers on a rental basis. As a pioneer of an environmentally friendly business model, we have more than 30 years of experience in managing reusable transport products in the beverage, food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industry.

As part of our ongoing growth in the Benelux countries, we are seeking a confident, commercially minded and hands-on Production Manager to lead production at our site in Spijk, near Gorinchem.

Tasks

• Manage and continuously improve production operations, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and ISO 14001 standards, while achieving operational efficiency and compliance
• You are responsible for the maintenance of the machines, in particular repair and troubleshooting to improve machine performance and minimize downtime
• We expect strong support to achieve the daily production targets
• Plan and manage production capacity, resources, and workflows efficiently
• You represent and support the management in all aspects of production
• You control the operational processes and train the employees, especially around production machinery
• You will take responsibility for projects at the site from planning to successful completion
• You actively cooperate with the production team

Requirements

• We are looking for a strong “hands-on-mentality” even when it gets dirty
• You have successfully completed technical education with relevant professional experience (e.g., as a mechatronics technician, toolmaker, machine and plant operator, industrial mechanic, electrician or locksmith) or Bachelor of Sciences, Engineering
• Relevant professional experience in manufacturing or production environments
• Initial leadership or shopfloor management experience is a strong advantage
• Ideally, you have experience in the field of production and / or warehouse logistics
• Strong work safety and process safety mindset
• You like challenges and enjoy working in a team
• You speak Dutch fluently and aren't afraid to speak English
• A valid driver's license completes your profile
• Career changers are welcome (e.g., automotive technicians with mechanical expertise and interest in industrial environments)
