Neways NEXT is the business unit of Neways Electronics where innovation, complex high-tech electronics, and mission-critical assemblies come together. From our main location in Son and Breugel and our site in Echt, we develop and manufacture advanced electronic modules and systems for leading international customers in the semiconductor, defence, and mobility industries. Following the integration of Philips' microelectronics activities, more than 200 specialists work together every day to develop the technologies of tomorrow.
Do you want to use your quality expertise in an environment where technology, innovation, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do? At our site in Echt, you will enjoy a high level of responsibility, short communication lines, and plenty of opportunities to further develop both our processes and yourself. Explore Neways in life-changing technology together.
As a Production Quality Engineer, you are responsible for safeguarding and continuously improving product quality throughout our manufacturing processes. You analyse quality deviations, identify process disturbances, and initiate improvement actions that contribute to stable, efficient, and high-quality production.
When quality issues arise, you take ownership by identifying the root cause and implementing sustainable corrective actions. Thanks to the short production lead times and the wide variety of products manufactured at our Echt site, you are able to act quickly, prioritize effectively, and ensure that quality issues are resolved without compromising delivery performance.
You are responsible for handling both customer- and supplier-related quality issues and play an active role in further strengthening our quality organisation. You work closely with colleagues from Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, and Quality Inspection to continuously improve our products and production processes.
In addition to your quality responsibilities, you will also serve as the Prevention Officer for the Echt location. In this role, you contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment and are a member of the local Management Prevention Team (MPT).
We offer a challenging role in a dynamic, professional, and high-tech manufacturing environment where your ideas, initiative, and expertise are truly valued.
You will become part of a motivated and collaborative team with plenty of room for personal initiative, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Due to the compact organisation at our Echt location, you will enjoy a high level of responsibility, short communication lines, and significant autonomy. If you are ambitious, there are excellent opportunities to grow within Neways, for example towards the role of Supplier Quality Engineer or other specialist or leadership positions.
In addition to a competitive salary, we offer attractive secondary benefits, such as:
27 vacation days and 13 ADV days;
Flexible working hours;
Training and development opportunities through our extensive e-learning platform;
An attractive bicycle plan;
Pension scheme, holiday allowance, and travel reimbursement.
You are a quality professional who works independently, takes ownership, and enjoys driving improvements. You like to be visible on the production floor, know how to engage colleagues in quality initiatives, and easily switch between operational and improvement activities.
You thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment where flexibility, short lead times, and a broad product portfolio require you to make well-founded decisions quickly. Thanks to your analytical mindset and pragmatic approach, you identify root causes efficiently and translate them into sustainable improvements.
Additionally, you bring:
An MBO degree or equivalent working and thinking level, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another technical discipline. Graduates with a relevant technical education are also encouraged to apply;
Experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment is a strong advantage;
Affinity with electronics and/or mechanical manufacturing;
Knowledge of quality methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, and Lean;
Experience with Microsoft Office;
A proactive, independent, structured, and solution-oriented mindset;
The ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams;
Good command of Dutch and English.
Your home base will be our Echt location, where you become part of a close-knit team of approximately 35 colleagues. You will work closely with the local Quality Inspector and Manufacturing team while also being part of the wider Neways NEXT Quality organisation, collaborating with Customer Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers, Production Quality Engineers, and Quality Inspectors across multiple locations.
Thanks to the close cooperation between the Echt and Son sites, you will always have experienced colleagues to exchange knowledge with and a strong quality network to support you.
In this role, you are the link between Quality and Manufacturing and work closely with operators, engineers, inspectors, and other quality professionals. You report directly to the Manager Engineering.
Your responsibilities include, among others:
