Job Summary

The Project Cost Controller at Stoneridge Electronics plays a key role in ensuring effective financial management across complex, multidisciplinary international projects within the organization. Reporting to the Global D&D Finance Manager, this international role supports project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle—from early scoping and feasibility, through execution, to handover to production.

A central responsibility is developing, maintaining, and challenging project cost models while guiding teams through the internal gate and approval processes. Throughout project execution, the Project Cost Controller monitors financial performance, identifies risks and deviations, and supports stakeholders with transparent reporting. The role also collaborates closely with local and global finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting for project related activities.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain project cost estimates, business cases, and financial models, ensuring transparent and reliable cost control throughout all phases.
• Guide project teams through Stoneridge’s financial approval and gate processes, ensuring alignment with financial and operational requirements.
• Support project managers with forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis, and escalate financial risks or deviations where needed.
• Monitor global R&D and operational project resources, ensuring costs align with project scope, timelines, and strategic objectives.
• Contribute to accurate project forecasting and budgeting across multiple international sites.
• Deliver monthly project reports, analyze performance, and highlight risks, savings, and opportunities to key stakeholders.

What you bring

• Proven experience in project cost control or project controlling, including forecasting, reporting, budget management, and cost variance analysis.
• A strong background in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or R&D driven environments.
• Experience partnering with cross functional teams—such as engineering, operations, supply chain, and project management—to support financial decisions.
• Familiarity with international finance practices and working with global, multi‑site teams.
• Ability to translate technical project details and logistical data into accurate, actionable financial insights.
• Currently residing in the Netherlands and legally eligible to work.

• Full-time employment of 40 hours per week in Barneveld/ not hybrid.
• 8% holiday allowance.
• Travel allowance home-work: 23ct per kilometers one way up to a maximum of 50 km

• ATV: 13 days on an annual basis (full-time).
