Provost for the Colleges of Nursing

OSF HealthCare seeks a dynamic leader in nursing education to serve as Provost, OSF Colleges of Nursing. The Provost’s office will be located in Rockford, IL, at Saint Anthony College of Nursing.

OSF HealthCare, headquartered in Peoria, Illinois, is an integrated health system owned and operated by The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. OSF’s Colleges of Nursing are a valued resource within OSF HealthCare. The system employs more than 23,600 Mission Partners in 147 locations, including two colleges of nursing, and 15 hospitals with 2,097 licensed beds throughout Illinois and Michigan.

OSF Colleges of Nursing are located at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center (Peoria, IL) and OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center (Rockford, IL). The Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing, located in Peoria, Illinois, offers traditional and online BSN, MSN, and DNP degree programs, as well as Post-Master’s certificates. Saint Anthony College of Nursing, located in Rockford, Illinois, offers BSN, MSN, and DNP degree programs, as well as Post-Master’s certificates. Both colleges have graduated some of the nation’s most compassionate and skilled nurse professionals for over 100 years.

Reporting to the President, OSF Colleges of Nursing and working collaboratively with leadership within each College, the Provost will provide leadership to innovative academic planning and program development and assessment, as well as to the advancement of scholarship, pedagogy, and student success. As Chief Academic Officer, the Provost will provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction, fostering a culture committed to the principles of innovation, collaboration, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The successful candidate will be an academic nurse leader with a solid record of teaching and program development. Demonstrated support for excellence and innovation in undergraduate and graduate nursing education is essential. Requirements include an earned doctorate in nursing, higher education, and/or administration (if the doctorate is not in nursing, a master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university is also required); a minimum of five years of progressive administrative experience gained within an academic organization; and eligibility to obtain RN licensure in Illinois.
