Quality Assistant

St. Maarten Laboratory Services N.V. (SLS) is a rapidly developing laboratory organization serving the healthcare and environmental sectors in St. Maarten. SLS provides 24-hour diagnostic laboratory services to patients of the local general hospital, ambulatory patients, and the Public Health Department, as well as environmental and water testing services to support public health, businesses, and other clients.

Our mission is to deliver high-quality, timely, and reliable laboratory services to all our clients. SLS is an accredited laboratory operating in accordance with ISO 15189 and ISO/IEC 17025 standards, ensuring a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance and administration of the Quality Management System.


• Control and maintain quality documents, forms, policies, procedures, and records.


• Ensure only current versions of documents are available and obsolete versions are removed.

• Assist in developing policies and procedures.


• Perform post analytical administrative task

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or higher, knowledge of laboratory procedures


• Experience with laboratory (automated) information systems (preferred)


• Strong communication skills (written & spoken)


• Strong computer literacy (MS office, web platforms)


• Good time management & Attendance 


• Knowledge of ISO 15189/17025 laboratory quality systems (preferred)


• Adherence to hygiene and safety practices


• Proficiency in English;
