Job Title: Quality Control Inspector – High-Voltage Projects



Role Overview:

We ARE seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to support high-voltage projects involving substations and transmission lines in Rotterdam, Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for quality documentation, inspections, and quality plans, ensuring that project activities comply with the required quality standards and specifications. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to monitor quality throughout project execution and contribute to continuous improvement.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Review tender documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards, requirements, and specifications.

  • Participate in pre-inspection meetings and coordinate inspection and verification points.

  • Contribute to quality documentation and analyze work package requirements during project execution.

  • Review quality plans and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) submitted by subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Ensure that the necessary quality procedures and work instructions are available.

  • Advise project teams and internal departments on applicable QC procedures.

  • Verify that the required personnel qualifications and certifications are in place.

  • Review inspection and testing results, including Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), concrete laboratory tests, and coating thickness measurements.

  • Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) in collaboration with the Lead Engineer, client, and relevant inspection bodies.

  • Monitor deviations and corrective actions, prepare and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and ensure findings are properly documented.

  • Maintain communication with clients and inspection bodies regarding quality issues and corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with project managers and work planners to ensure quality requirements are met.

  • Participate in QA/QC departmental meetings and project-specific QC meetings.

  • Provide technical advice, QC training, and instructions where required.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and advise on implementing quality improvements during project execution.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completed MBO-level vocational education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • At least 2 years of experience as a QC Inspector.

  • Experience with steel structures and coating inspections and/or civil engineering works involving concrete.

  • Experience reviewing NDT reports.

  • Knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection methods, and quality documentation.

  • Knowledge of the Dutch Quality Assurance Act for Construction (Wkb) is an advantage.

  • Good command of Dutch, both written and spoken.

  • Valid Dutch driving license and willingness to travel to project sites and suppliers.
