About the Role

We are looking for a driven and analytical Quantitative Trader to join our Short-Term Power Trading Desk, where you'll play a key role in navigating the European power markets. In this role, you will develop and execute data-driven trading strategies in European power markets, leveraging short-term market signals, weather forecasts, and grid data. You will work closely with analysts, data scientists, and software developers to optimize performance and capture real-time market opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and implement short-term power trading strategies (intraday/day-ahead).


• Analyze market fundamentals, price signals, and system conditions to make informed trading decisions.


• Monitor market data, weather models, and grid conditions in real-time.


• Collaborate on the development of forecasting models and trading algorithms.


• Continuously evaluate strategy performance and refine models to improve PnL.


• Ensure compliance with risk limits and trading regulations.

Skills and experience

• Strong academic background, preferably in a quantitative field.


• 3+ years of professional experience on short term power trading in Europe.


• Proven track record of P&L ownership.


• Strong analytical skills.


• Fluency in English, excellent communication skills.
