Are you ready to shape and strengthen the bank’s regulatory readiness at a strategic level? As a Senior Regulatory Change Manager (RCM), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring ABN AMRO effectively identifies, assesses, interprets, and implements new prudential regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will act as the End‑to‑End owner of the RCM process, ensuring a consistent, standardised, and high‑quality approach to regulatory change across the entire bank. You will provide expert advice on prudential regulation, coordinate with key stakeholders, and ensure that the bank’s regulatory gaps are closed effectively and on time.

The role requires close collaboration with other departments across Client Units, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Compliance, especially where expert input is required.

Your job

As a Regulatory Change Advisor in the Regulatory Change Management team, your role is structured around four key priorities:

1. End‑to‑End Regulatory Change Management Ownership

• Act as the owner of the bank‑wide Regulatory Change Management process.


• Coordinate and oversee the full RCM lifecycle.


• Ensure clear accountability for closing regulatory gaps.


• Safeguard consistency and quality.

2. Regulatory Horizon Scanning & Interpretation

• Identify and assess prudential regulatory changes.


• Conduct impact assessments and prioritization.


• Provide expert prudential regulatory advice.


• Translate regulation into actionable requirements.

3. Standardization & Continuous Improvement

• Enhance the bank‑wide RCM process.


• Strengthen quality assurance.


• Drive simplification and process maturity.

4. Reporting & Senior Management Engagement

• Report on regulatory change progress.


• Provide insights to senior management.


• Escalate regulatory readiness risks.

Working environment

The Regulatory Risk & Transformation (RR&T) department is a new function established to execute the mandate of the Regulatory Committee, divided into the following four teams/topics: 

• Regulatory Supervisory Relations 


• Regulatory Change Management 


• Regulatory Findings Management 


• Regulatory Risk Oversight 

The RCM team is directly contributing to the department’s mission to strengthen the bank’s regulatory compliance framework and foster a proactive approach to managing regulatory risks. The teams will need to collaborate closely on many topics and may need to form ad-hoc task forces to deal with certain priority issues. 

Your profile

You are a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with a background in non-financial risk management. You thrive in environments that require strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration. You are able to drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and manage complex stakeholder dynamics. Furthermore:

• Proven experience of minimum 7 years in (non-financial) risk management, regulatory risk, or strategic projects within financial services.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis, impact assessments, and propose actionable solutions.


• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to liaise with ELT members and other senior stakeholders.


• In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance standards, and emerging trends in financial services.


• Strategic report-writing and presentation skills tailored to executive audiences.


• Proven ability to manage and standardise processes, documents, and tooling efficiently.


• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Dutch language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.

Note that in case you do not yet meet the requirements for a Hay 11 level but are a fit with the team, you may be offered the role at a lower Hay scale with an appropriate task allocation when joining the team.
