This is a hybrid role, with 2 or 3 days per week required at client site in Amsterdam.

Duration: Initial 6-month contract

Day Rate: £550-650 (experience dependent)
IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join the team on a contract basis and take ownership of analytics delivery within a defined business area. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can operate autonomously — working directly with business stakeholders to define problems, shape solutions, and deliver data insights that drive real decisions.

You'll be embedded within a product or business team, with occasional cross-team collaboration, and will be expected to hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding.

What You'll Be Doing

Owning the end-to-end design and delivery of data analytics solutions — from initial scoping through to implementation

Consuming and preparing data for analytical use, translating business problems into clear data stories

Building intuitive, insightful visualisations that give stakeholders the clarity they need to act

Managing relationships with operational, project-based, and managerial stakeholders independently; communicating complex analysis in a straightforward way

Identifying opportunities to apply new analytical approaches and methods where they add genuine value

Collaborating with Data Engineering and other technical teams to anticipate data needs and keep projects moving

Supporting junior analysts through coaching, mentoring, and setting a strong example

Contributing to broader data community initiatives, including knowledge sharing and peer review

Ensuring the quality, scalability, and reproducibility of your own work

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Data Analyst in a complex, fast-paced environment

Strong skills in data analysis and data visualisation — you know how to turn raw data into a compelling, actionable narrative

Comfortable working autonomously with mid-level stakeholders; able to manage expectations and adapt to shifting business priorities

Solid understanding of data workflows, analytical methods, and tooling

Experience working within or alongside data engineering teams

Familiarity with best practices around data quality, reproducibility, and long-term solution design

A collaborative mindset — you share knowledge, help peers grow, and contribute beyond your immediate remit

Nice to Have

Experience within a large-scale data ecosystem (e.g. a major tech or e-commerce environment)

Previous involvement in data community or craft-building initiatives
