Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of our financial processes. You will take full ownership of the operational side of financial administration, ensuring that the financial data is accurate and up-to-date. 

In the future, this role may expand to include responsibilities such as preparing the monthly close, assisting with audits and annual reports, and contributing to the financial management of subsidies, budgets, and forecasts.

• Operational Financial Administration: Take full responsibility for the day-to-day financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, VAT, financial reconciliations, hour recording and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Support Monthly Close: As you grow into the role, you will assist with and eventually take charge of the monthly closing process.

• Audit and Report Assistance: Work closely with internal and external teams to assist with audits and support the preparation of annual financial reports.

• Financial Management Support: Assist with managing subsidies, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring all financial projections are accurate and aligned with business goals.

• Efficiency & Automation: Contribute to improving financial processes and implementing automation projects to streamline operations and increase efficiency.

• Collaboration Across Departments: You will work closely with colleagues from different departments to improve financial processes and ensure smooth execution of financial strategies.

• An excellent monthly salary depending on experience and holiday pay (a bonus of 8% of your annual salary, paid out once a year in May)

• You have 3-5 years of experience in an all-round financial administrative role. 

• You are proficient in Excel (intermediate level), and with financial software like Exact Online and PowerBI 

• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, which enables you to communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments and locations. You have at least a basic understanding of Dutch to independently deal with Dutch documentation (invoices, tax documents etc.).

• You have a keen eye for detail and ensure accuracy in all financial reporting and tasks.

• You are adaptable to changes and thrive in dynamic environments.

• You can easily connect with colleagues from various departments (including tech teams) and work together to achieve shared goals.

• You are approachable and easy to work with, but can confidently stand your ground when needed.

• You are proactive in your professional development and enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and expanding your knowledge in finance.
