Head of AI

Innatera is a rapidly-growing Dutch semiconductor company that develops ultra-efficient neuromorphic processors for AI at the edge. These microprocessors mimic the brain’s mechanisms for processing fast data streams from sensors, enabling complex turn-key sensor analytics functionalities, with 10,000x higher performance per watt than competing solutions. Innatera's technology serves as a critical enabler for next-generation use-cases in the IoT, wearable, embedded, and automotive domains.

Innatera's AI team is central in applying our innovative processors to real-world applications. The team develops the neural network models that we deliver to customers, as well as the AI/ML methods and algorithms used to build those models. 

We are looking for an experienced AI executive with a track record of applying AI/ML solutions to real-world applications, with strong customer-centric mindset, a solid background in innovation, and passion for engineering to lead this exciting and challenging development!

• Leading a team of passionate algorithm engineers towards building innovative neuromorphic AI/ML solutions to real-world applications

• Defining, maintaining, and driving a roadmap to develop innovative algorithms, AI/ML methods, and their application to actual use-cases

• Definition of the company’s AI strategy in combination with hardware and software design teams

• Line management and technical guidance of algorithm team members, project management of complex developments

• Contributing to the research and development of new IP at Innatera

• Steering and nurturing the team's innovative mindset in creating real products that elevate value for customers.  

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in the AI/ML field

• 5 years of experience in a similar leadership position. Neuromorphic computing experience is a great advantage.

• Demonstrated experience in building successful AI/ML products on embedded processing hardware.

• Knowledge of conventional AI/ML training algorithms and experience building and deploying artificial neural networks with standard frameworks (eg. Tensorflow, PyTorch, PyNN…).

• Experience working with multiple teams

• You have the the ability to go deep technically on the AI methodology best suitable for the problems that the customers are facing

• You have demonstrated strong leadership ideally with hybrid teams 

• You possess strong listening skills and genuinely care about the well-being and development of your team

• You act as a coach and can successfully guide teams through complex and uncertain technology developments

• You are a problem solver with a great attention to detail, have a goal-oriented mindset, and are highly-motivated

• You are a self-starter, and are passionate about technology
