GIDARA Energy, a leading waste gasification technology company, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our international team.

As our Senior Process Engineer, you will work closely together with our Process & Technology team and Project Managers. In this role, you will be expected to:

• Have a good knowledge in chemical process technologies (thermochemical processes, synthesis gas treatment, synthesis gas processing units); 
• Lead the process team (up to 5 process engineers) in multidisciplinary projects, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines for process department deliverables; 
• Develop, issue and review key engineering documents, including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances (H&MB), and process datasheets for equipment and instruments; 
• Participate in the reviews of licensed packages, Basic Engineering, FEED and detail engineering deliverables; 
• Ensure consistency between engineering deliverables in the project phases; 
• Participate in HAZID/HAZOP/SIL meeting and Value Engineering sessions and follow up related recommendations; 
• Review technical offers from packages/equipment bidders and vendors; 
• Actively engage and collaborate with the Head of Process and other engineering disciplines; 
• Coordinate with licensors / contractor technical team all process related issues and developments.

We are seeking a candidate that is solution driven and eager to learn, with excellent organizational and work coordination skills. The ideal candidate is open to working in a highly dynamic project team and can work across several projects simultaneously. Other favourable experiences are: 

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering. A Master's degree is advantageous; 
• Work / residency permit for the Netherlands; 
• 8–15 years of proven experience in conceptual, basic, FEED, and EPC phases of gas processing, petrochemical, and oil & gas projects. Experience in syngas treatment and methanol production is a plus; 
• Knowledge of solids material handling processes is an advantage; 
• Practical experience to develop conceptual and feasibility phase deliverables; 
• Experience in handling licensed process units and integration between different process and utility units; 
• Strong knowledge of process design criteria and philosophies;
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., API, ASME, OSHA, ISO) in engineering and process design;
• Have good understanding of process systems and process packages functions; 
• Expertise in process design and optimization, including the use of process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or equivalent);
• Strong experience in equipment selection, sizing, and process system design, including process package functionality;
• Have a good understanding of the control and safety systems in relation to the process requirements.

• Leadership and team collaboration skills with a focus on driving technical excellence and fostering a collaborative work environment;
• Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable steps for team members; 
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus); 
• A team player with strong communication skills;
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities;
• Willing to travel internationally if required, based on projects or BD requirements.
