This role sits within the Investments product engineering team, working on our Savings & Investments Platform in a team distributed across Amsterdam, Barcelona and Bratislava and Zilina.

What You’ll Do

• Design & Build: Develop resilient .NET backend services that form the backbone of our Investments product. Participate in every phase of the SDLC—from requirement analysis to hands-on production deployments.
• Shape the Platform: Propose, prototype, and implement new public-facing APIs and architectural enhancements to keep Ohpen’s Savings & Investments Platform on the cutting edge of FinTech.
• Automate & Optimize: Use AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD best practices to ensure scalable, secure deployments. Leverage Python scripting to automate processes and reduce manual overhead.

• API Wizard: You have hands-on experience building and managing public-facing APIs; you know what it takes to make them secure, highly available, and a delight to integrate with.
• .NET & Cloud Pro: You have extensive experience with .NET and AWS or a similar cloud environment. You’re comfortable with IaC (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions a plus).
• Passionate Engineer: You’re driven by building highly reliable software. You love owning the entire lifecycle of your work and treat quality assurance as an integral part of it.
• Product-Driven: You’re not just a coder—you’re a product builder. You care as much about what you’re building and why it matters as you do about how to build it.
• Clear Communicator: You can articulate technical concepts in English to both technical and non-technical teammates. You’re eager to learn and share insights in a fast-moving, agile team.
• Cherry on Top: A background in mathematics would be ideal, though not a must.
