Job Description - Software Engineer PHP

As a Developer at Luscii, you’ll play a key role in building our world-class healthcare platform. Your focus will be on developing scalable APIs, databases, and data processing infrastructure. But that’s not all, thanks to our holacracy-driven culture. You’ll have the opportunity to explore other roles, take initiative, and contribute to Luscii’s success in ways that align with your strengths. Holacracy equals fostering initiatives, taking responsibilities, and is interwoven into our culture.

Here are just a few of the things you'll be doing, amongst others.

  • Bringing ideas to life. Implementing new features and working on excisting code to improve ideas and features that are already there.
  • Breaking down big challenges. Translating requirements into clear, actionable tasks. 
  • Keeping things running smoothly. Improving and optimizing our codebase, keeping scalability in mind too.
  • Ensuring quality. Writing automated tests to catch bugs before they happen.
  • Improving performance. Constantly refining the work that has been done already and fine-tuning for speed & efficiency.

    • Salary based on knowledge and experience ranging between  4300 and  5900 gross per month based on a fulltime workweek (32 hours is fulltime within Luscii)
    • We are (all) working remotely and this will be the case in the future as well, while keeping a personal connection through our assemblii's;
    • Driven and passionate colleagues; a unique culture based on grow to last, freedom sparks energy, and courage for integrity;
    • We're a Holacracy organisation; responsibility, freedom and autonomy;
    • Monthly company activities organised by our culture creators;
    • Possibilities for visiting conferences or taking courses;
    • We have a monthly meeting every month called Assemblii, which takes place in the Netherlands. We invite (and expect) you to be able to attend this as much as possible during the year for the connection with your colleagues. This day, we work together and do something fun;
    • You can organise your own flexible workspace if you want.

    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a PHP developer 
    • A bachelor degree
    • Knowledge about and experience with RESTful APIs 
    • Familiar with Agile and Git version control
    • Unit tests are part of your work, and you're familiar with test frameworks like PHPUnit
    • CI/CD
    • English is our primary language, so you're fluent in that language.
