The RoleÂ
We are looking for a Sales Forecasting Specialist to strengthen our commercial planning and forecasting capabilities, based in our Hoofddorp office. This role sits at the intersection of sales, finance, and operations and plays a critical role in forecasting demand, shaping budgets, supporting inventory decisions, and enabling data‑driven commercial decisions.Â
The primary focus will be on Scotch & Soda’s wholesale and franchise business across Europe, with scope to support additional brands within the ULAC portfolio as the platform continues to grow.Â
This is a highly visible role that partners closely with senior stakeholders and works cross‑functionally across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.Â
What You’ll DoÂ
Sales Forecasting & Budget PlanningÂ
Own and develop sales and demand forecasts for Scotch & Soda across European wholesale and franchise marketsÂ
Build country‑ and partner‑level forecasts covering sales, demand, and inventoryÂ
Translate forecasts into annual budgets, targets, and financial plansÂ
Track performance against forecast, explain variances, and recommend corrective actionsÂ
Continuously refine forecasting models based on market trends, trading performance, and commercial insightsÂ
Performance AnalysisÂ
Analyze historical sales data, market conditions, and customer performance to produce accurate, data‑driven forecastsÂ
Monitor forecast accuracy and continuously improve forecasting qualityÂ
Maintain sales and demand forecasts with precision and timelinessÂ
Identify underperforming products and recommend actions such as promotions or clearance strategiesÂ
Inventory & Stock OptimizationÂ
Support inventory planning in close collaboration with the Inventory Controller, Supply Chain, and Operations teamsÂ
Use sell‑through and forecast accuracy analysis to inform future buys and allocationsÂ
Help minimize overstocks and stockouts by aligning forecasts with operational executionÂ
Reporting & Business StorytellingÂ
Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly sales and forecast reportingÂ
Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for sales leadership and senior managementÂ
Act as a trusted business partner, bridging finance, sales, and operationsÂ
Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders to support strategic decision‑makingÂ
Cross‑functional Collaboration & Process ImprovementÂ
Act as the primary point of contact for forecasting‑related questionsÂ
Partner with EU Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure alignmentÂ
Continuously improve forecasting processes, tools, and methodologiesÂ
Streamline workflows to increase efficiency and scalabilityÂ
What You BringÂ
Experience & EducationÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)Â
2–4 years of experience in sales forecasting, demand planning, financial planning, or a related analytical roleÂ
Background in fashion, retail, wholesale, or consumer goods is strongly preferredÂ
Experience working with European markets and franchise partners is a strong advantageÂ
Skills & CompetenciesÂ
Strong analytical and financial modelling skillsÂ
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesÂ
Commercial mindset with a clear understanding of risk vs. opportunityÂ
Confident communicator who can explain complex numbers to non‑financial stakeholdersÂ
Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, commercial environmentÂ
Advanced Excel skills and experience with forecasting or ERP toolsÂ
Fluency in EnglishÂ
Eligible to work in the Netherlands without requiring sponsorship Â
