Role overview

In the role of Senior Concept Designer you will be part of the Brand Agency within the Brand & Concepts team, working closely with Concept Designers, Art Directors and Concept Writers. This role carries accountability for creative brand direction and is accountable for translating brand modules into high-quality design output, with a strong focus on graphic-driven brand direction. 

This is a combined role at the intersection of design excellence and art direction thinking, where you have a supportive role for all projects non-commercial brand related, brand direction and internal creative project roll out. 

You contribute at an art direction level to concept development and productions. supporting Art Directors throughout both pre- and post-production. You work closely with them on set, and play a supportive role in shaping and safeguarding the overall visual quality of the brand. 

This role is accountable for delivering high-quality graphic and print brand layouts, while also leading creative non-commercial concepts, visual storytelling, and art direction for internal campaigns, lifestyle shoots, and smaller productions.

 

Key responsibilities:

Brand & Graphic Design

  • Execute the brand’s visual language across all touchpoints.
  • Act as guardian of brand quality and consistency in design output.
  • Lead print-focused design previews for campaigns and brand initiatives. 
    • Create layouts for marketing materials, playbooks, presentations, and brand stewardship.
    • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all visual touchpoints. 
    • Prepare print-ready files and collaborate with vendors where required.

Art Direction & Concept Development 

  • You play a key creative role in shaping visual concepts and ensuring their execution
  • You contribute on an art direction level in concept development and production, supporting Art Directors throughout pre- and post-production within noncommercial projects. 
  • Develop strong, brand-aligned visual concepts that translate strategy into clear creative directions Provide inspiration, design intent, and conceptual guidance to executional designers 
  • Build and present mood boards, visual references, and visual concept decks 
  • Translate brand strategy into compelling visual narratives 
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams; photographers, stylists, and creatives to bring concepts to life 
  • Manage multiple conceptual projects with precision, delivering high-quality work under tight timelines.

Shoot & Set Presence (Lifestyle/Small Projects) 

  • Work closely with Art Directors on set, contributing to visual decisions and safeguarding brand and creative quality. 
  • Provide on-set art direction for lifestyle shoots and smaller-scale brand productions. 
  • Guide composition, styling, props, and overall visual tone on set. 
  • Ensure the final output aligns with the approved creative vision and brand standards. 

Collaboration & Communication 

  • Partner closely with internal teams such as marketing, content & design studio and own brand team and stakeholders 
  • Clearly communicate and present creative ideas and rationale to stakeholders 
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining creative quality

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Proven experience in graphic design and brand design (5+ years), with a strong portfolio (we only consider applications with a portfolio added).
  • Strong eye for layout, typography, color, and composition.
  • Experience creating mood boards and creative decks. 
  • Familiarity with lifestyle, fashion, or brand shoots is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); Figma and Miro is a plus. 
  • Ability to move fluidly between hands-on design and conceptual leadership. 

Soft Skills & Creative Mindset 

  • Strong sense of ownership over brand expression and creative quality.
  • Interest in and practical knowledge of AI-driven creative tools is a strong plus. 
  • Conceptual thinker with strong executional skills. 
  • Detail-oriented yet able to see the bigger brand picture. 
  • Confident communicator and collaborator. 
  • Comfortable taking ownership and accountability for creative output.
  • Adaptable and calm in fast-paced or on-set environments.

Location and working conditions

This role is based at our Central Head Office (Herengracht) in Amsterdam. While flexible working is possible, we value strong on-site collaboration to align quickly and work effectively across teams. Because we believe in the power of connection with ourselves, each other and the world around us, we work 80 percent from the office and 20 percent from home. Together, we bring our brand philosophy to life by transforming everyday routines into meaningful moments.
