Job Description - Senior Cyber & Disaster Resilience SME (ID: 3049)

As a Senior Cyber & Disaster Resilience SME, you will:

Lead strategic resilience assessment workshops with technical and business teams across the organization.
Evaluate complex IT landscapes to identify risks, threats, and gaps in current security posture.
Design and recommend enterprise-grade disaster recovery solutions for applications, data, infrastructure, and security.
Participate in and influence threat action groups focused on cyber resilience planning and response.
Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams during security resilience workshops.
Document and deliver comprehensive risk reports and IT resilience assessments aligned with best practices.
Align recovery and contingency plans with defined risk tolerances and service continuity objectives.
Validate and challenge existing technical architectures to drive improvements in resilience.

What You Bring to the Table:

8–10 years of hands-on experience in cyber resilience, disaster recovery, or cybersecurity.
Strong technical expertise across enterprise infrastructure: cloud, networking, storage, databases, and platforms.
Proven track record in IT risk management, business continuity, and resilience engineering.
Proficiency in industry frameworks: ISO27001, ISO22301, ISO27005, and similar standards.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and conducting resilience workshops.
Deep understanding of threat management, vulnerability assessment, and incident response.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and propose measurable improvements.

You should possess the ability to:

Operate as a senior technical advisor and lead influence-based collaboration across departments.
Communicate technical concepts to both business and technical stakeholders effectively.
Navigate and challenge system architectures, recovery plans, and infrastructure dependencies.
Propose and drive strategic improvements in cyber resilience posture.
Mentor mid-level engineers and support their growth in disaster recovery planning.
Drive quantitative and qualitative risk analysis and support executive-level reporting.
Act with autonomy and leadership in fast-paced, agile environments.
