Job title: Senior Director Planning Transformation Program Management & Change Management
Seniority: Senior Director
Based in Amsterdam or Best
The Senior Director Planning Transformation Program Management & Change Management leads the global program management and adoption agenda for Philips' ongoing Planning transformation programs, including Beyond and Voyage. This role is responsible for driving reliable execution across the transformation portfolio, strengthening governance, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring that new planning capabilities, processes, roles, and ways of working are adopted sustainably across businesses, functions, and markets.
The role combines large-scale program leadership, planning process transformation, business readiness, and change management. Working closely with executive leadership, planning business process owners, IT, operations, supply chain functions, and regional stakeholders, this leader translates strategic planning priorities into an executable multi-year roadmap and ensures disciplined delivery through design, deployment, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
This position requires deep expertise in global planning transformation, complex program management, stakeholder alignment, and organizational change. The Senior Director will play a critical role in orchestrating the Beyond and Voyage programs, building planning transformation capability, and embedding standardized, scalable, and fit-for-purpose planning ways of working across the enterprise.
Your role:
• Lead the global program management and change agenda for ongoing Planning transformation programs, with primary focus on Beyond and Voyage, ensuring integrated planning transformation delivery across businesses, functions, and markets.
• Own and maintain the integrated Planning transformation roadmap, translating strategic priorities into clear milestones, workplans, dependencies, governance routines, and deployment waves.
• Establish and run robust program governance, including scope management, decision forums, issue and risk management, dependency tracking, change control, executive reporting, and escalation management.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across planning, supply chain, commercial, finance, IT, and regional teams to ensure program priorities, resource needs, and business impacts are understood and managed.
• Partner with planning business process owners and subject matter experts to support process harmonization, simplification, and standardization across demand planning, supply planning, S&OP/IBP, inventory planning, and related planning capabilities.
• Lead business readiness and change management across the Planning transformation portfolio, including stakeholder mapping, change impact assessment, communications, training strategy, adoption planning, local readiness, and hypercare preparation.
• Ensure deployment readiness for key program milestones, including process validation, data and integration readiness where relevant, user acceptance testing, cutover planning, transition management, stabilization, and post go-live adoption.
• Track transformation progress, adoption, risks, and benefits realization through clear KPIs and operational measures, using insights to improve execution reliability, planning maturity, service, inventory, and user experience.
• Translate complex program issues into clear executive decision materials, helping senior leadership resolve trade-offs, remove barriers, and align priorities across the enterprise.
• Build strong Communities of Practice and change networks to embed planning capabilities, share learnings, accelerate adoption, and support sustained ownership after deployment.
• Develop and lead a high-performing transformation team, fostering collaboration, accountability, talent development, and a disciplined program management culture.
• Monitor external trends and leading practices in planning transformation, program management, and change adoption to continuously improve program effectiveness and business value.
You're the right fit if you have:
• You have 20+ years of experience in global program leadership, planning transformation, change management, business process management, and large-scale business transformation.
• You have proven success leading complex, international transformation programs across multiple countries, business units, functions, and senior stakeholder groups.
• You bring deep experience in supply chain planning transformation, ideally including demand planning, supply planning, S&OP/IBP, inventory planning, and planning operating model change.
• You have strong program management capability and can translate strategic priorities into integrated roadmaps, milestones, governance routines, dependency plans, and delivery management structures.
• You have strong change management expertise, including change impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, business readiness, adoption measurement, and post go-live stabilization.
• You understand how planning processes are enabled by data, digital tools, ERP, and advanced planning systems, and can partner effectively with IT and process teams without being the owner of the S/4HANA process transformation scope.
• You have experience managing transformation risk, deployment readiness, transition planning, contingency planning, and executive-level issue resolution for business-critical programs.
• You bring strong facilitation, communication, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and align diverse stakeholders around a common Planning transformation agenda.
• You have a track record of building high-performing teams, developing talent, and creating communities or change networks that sustain adoption beyond program go-live.
• You have strong continuous improvement and benefits realization experience, using KPIs, adoption metrics, and operational insights to improve program delivery and business outcomes.
• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications in program management, agile, lean, planning, or change leadership are considered a plus.
