Senior Engineer (5G & Next Generation Networks)

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Senior Engineer (5G & Next Generation Network) to join our UniQue team in Hague.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Networks projects with a focus on standardization, technology development, spectrum management, and testing/experimentation.
• Lead exploratory efforts (including experimentation, prototyping) Next Generation Networking technologies, with a focus on 5G and 6G technologies.
• Providing advice, analysis, and recommendations on technology and related innovation fields relevant to ICT capabilities and services in the domain of Next Generation Networks.
• Supporting the development and update in the area of Next Generation Networks with a focus on defining and updating emerging technology roadmaps.
• Developing and sharing best practices and subject matter expertise in the domain of next generation networks, particularly in IMT standards and technologies.
• Engaging with industry and academia as well as other relevant multinational bodies in the science and technology domain with a particular focus on the application of 5G and 6G IMT technologies.
  

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline.
• Have a minimum 3 years of post-related experience
• Multi-disciplinary background across ICT and/or C3, focusing on dual-use emerging technologies in next-gen networks (e.g. 5G).
• Experience integrating next-gen network tech (e.g. 5G/6G) into operational systems and services.
• Skilled in analyzing and developing concepts for next-gen networks in ICT/C3, with proven state-of-the-art contributions.
• Proven ability to apply architecture methods to model complex systems of systems at varying levels of detail.
• Experience in R&D projects/programmes for ICT/C3, managing both technical and programmatic complexity and risk.
• Experience contributing to telecom standardization (e.g. 3GPP, ITU, IMT) is an advantage.
• Experience with military applications of 5G/6G technologies is an advantage.
• Experience managing innovation in ICT/C3, including spectrum policy and engaging with national/multinational innovation ecosystems is an advantage.
• Proven ability to foresee tech trends via horizon scanning and convert them into actionable ICT capabilities is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English language at a minimum B2 level.
