Senior Gas Trader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Gas Trader to join our dynamic team in Europe. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our trading operations, leveraging their expertise to navigate the gas market, optimize trading strategies, and drive profitability. 

This role focuses on physical gas trading.

Key Responsibilities:

  Conduct comprehensive analysis of gas market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and geopolitical factors affecting trading activities in Eastern Europe.

  Develop and execute trading strategies while effectively managing market risks and exposure.

  Utilize trading tools and models to forecast price movements and identify arbitrage opportunities.

  Establish and nurture relationships with counterparties, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate seamless trading operations.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor and interpret market regulations, policy changes, and industry developments to adapt trading strategies accordingly.

  Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align trading strategies with broader business objectives.

  Generate in-depth reports and presentations on market insights, performance analysis, and trading recommendations for senior management.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

  Minimum 8 years of experience in physical natural gas trading, especially within the Eastern European market, showcasing a strong track record of successful trades and risk management.

  Profound understanding of gas market dynamics, pricing mechanisms, derivatives, and trading strategies.

  
  


• 
  

  Fluency in English and an Eastern European language.

  Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
