Job Description - Senior IBM MQ Engineer (ID: 2980)

As a Senior IBM MQ Engineer, you will:

Build, verify, and deploy software across enterprise environments.
Upgrade existing software and decommission outdated flows.
Create and manage file transfers and construct message flows.
Configure and maintain both Linux and Wintel environments.
Administer and manage IBM MQ infrastructure, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of messaging systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure, scalable messaging solutions.
Support migration projects, routine maintenance, and disaster recovery procedures.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and operational procedures.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

What You Bring to the Table:

8–10 years of professional experience with IBM WebSphere MQ Series in enterprise environments.
Deep expertise in MQ administration, configuration, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with system troubleshooting, debugging, thread dump, and memory issue resolution.
Strong background in configuring and managing Linux and Wintel systems.
Exposure to Azure cloud platforms and integration is a strong plus.
Solid understanding of development methodologies including CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile Scrum.
Proven ability to support file transfer creation, flow construction, and system migrations.
Programming and development experience in enterprise application integration contexts.

You should possess the ability to:

Work collaboratively in team environments with strong organizational skills.
Take ownership with a proactive mindset toward problem-solving.
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in messaging and systems administration.
