Senior Internal Auditor

Noord Global are looking for a motivated and analytical Internal
Auditor to join our industrial client's Group Internal Audit team based in the Randstad area of the Netherlands.

You will work closely with business stakeholders to evaluate
risks, assess controls, and provide actionable insights that strengthen
governance and risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Help identify and assess key business risks to focus internal audit activities.
  
• Support the preparation and delivery of the annual audit and assessment plan
  
• Develop and apply consistent methods to test and evaluate internal controls
  
• Work closely with stakeholders to align on audit scope, timing, and approach
  
• Perform audits and reviews of processes and controls, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities
  
• Prepare clear reports with practical recommendations for management
  
• Discuss findings and agree on action plans to address identified risks
  
• Keep accurate and complete documentation of all audit work
  
• Monitor progress on agreed actions and provide support to ensure timely completion
  
• Contribute to team projects, including the use of data analytics, AI, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  

Qualifications and experience needed:

• Bachelor’s
  or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or
  a related field
  
• Approx. 6 -8 years’ experience in internal or external audit, risk
  management, or internal control functions (experience in an international
  environment is an advantage)
  
• Experience
  with data analytics tools or a keen interest in developing digital
  audit skills is a plus
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to engage with
  stakeholders at all levels
  
• Proficiency
  in English
