Job Description - Senior IT Auditor

Noord Global are currently working in partnership with a global brand in the consumer products sector, who are looking to hire an experienced IT Auditor for their team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

As a experienced IT Auditor, you will be at the forefront of evaluating the technology landscape and its impact on the organisation's risk profile. You will contribute to the entire audit lifecycle, from initial planning to the delivery of impactful recommendations.

Responsibilities include:

Execution Excellence: Independently or collaboratively executing audit engagements, ensuring that objectives are met effectively.
Data Mastery: Proficiently gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to identify anomalies and trends.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitating meetings and conducting insightful interviews with various stakeholders.
Control Evaluation: Rigorously testing the design and effectiveness of technology controls.
Insight Generation: Identifying potential audit findings and formulating practical, value-added recommendations.
Collaborative Communication: Discussing preliminary findings and recommendations with relevant stakeholders.
Documentation Standards: Maintaining thorough and accurate working papers in accordance with internal quality standards.
Strategic Assessment: Gathering and analyzing information related to business processes and technology infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on utilizing data analytics
Risk Identification: Collaborating in the identification of critical technology-related risks and challenges facing the organization.
Audit Scoping: Assisting in defining the scope and approach of audits based on the identified risks and challenges.
Report Contribution: Drafting assigned sections of audit reports for review, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and factual accuracy.
Action Monitoring: Assessing the implementation of management actions within agreed timelines.
Subject Matter Expertise: Serving as a go-to resource within the team for IT audit knowledge, providing guidance and coaching to colleagues to enhance their skills and audit effectiveness, particularly in general IT controls and a chosen area of technology expertise relevant to the organization.
Continuous Improvement Advocate: Proactively identifying and proposing enhancements to audit methodologies, processes, and the overall efficiency of the oversight function.
Technical Acumen Development: Continuously expanding your technical expertise in IT auditing, staying abreast of emerging technologies (such as AI and cloud computing) and their implications for the organization's technology landscape.
Departmental Support: Contributing to the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the oversight function.

Main requirements to be considered:

A relevant degree in fields such as IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Economics
A minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in an operational IT audit role and external/internal audit
Familiarity with data analysis tools
