Senior Project Lead OT/IT

We ARE Renewables is looking for a Senior Project Lead OT/IT for one of our clients in the energy sector in the Netherlands

In this role, you will immediately be given a challenging assignment: recalibrating a large and complex program. You will bring structure to a landscape of underlying projects, dependencies, risks, and priorities, and advise management on realistic scenarios, improvement measures, and a feasible schedule.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Leading complex OTI&T projects from the initiation phase through to commissioning.

Revising a comprehensive program and developing improvement proposals for management and clients.

Gaining insight into project portfolios, dependencies, risks, and priorities.

Developing realistic scenarios, schedules, and management information.

Managing multidisciplinary teams consisting of engineers, specialists, suppliers, and contractors.

Responsible for scope, planning, budget, quality, and risk management.

Connecting technical, operational, and business interests.

Advising management, clients, and external stakeholders.

Identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to the further professionalization of project management within OTI&T.

Key Requirements

A completed higher professional or university education, preferably in a technical field.

At least 8 years of experience as a project manager within infrastructure, energy, telecom, industrial automation, or OT environments.

Demonstrable experience with complex programs and projects involving multiple stakeholders and dependencies.

Experience with stakeholder management at management and executive level.

Knowledge of and experience with IPM, Systems Engineering, and risk-driven project management.

Experience with contract management and supplier management.

At least an IPMA-B certification.

Excellent communication skills and strong leadership.

The ability to draw up clear improvement proposals and realistic plans.

Pre

Civil engineering knowledge.

Experience with permit processes.

Experience within critical infrastructure.

Knowledge of OT networks, telecom environments, and network automation.

Location: Delft + Hybrid

Duration: September 2026 – March 2027
