As an SEO/GEO Specialist at iO, you will be the strategic partner of our clients. You will develop and implement integrated SEO strategies in the areas of content, technology, and authority. Using data, you will achieve organic growth and measurable business results. You will take the lead, engage with stakeholders at all levels from marketer to C-level, and elevate projects to a higher level.

This is what your day could look like:
Conducting in-depth 360° SEO audits, looking at traditional search engines, social search, GEO, and marketplaces, and developing effective strategies for your clients
Independently determining the necessary analyses and conducting them to identify valuable growth opportunities for both existing clients and prospects
Analyzing SEO issues from multiple dimensions at once: combining technical audits with content gap analyses, user intent research, and competitive strategies into one strategic advice
Monitoring the technical state of websites and collaborating with developers on platform improvements
Keeping track of the results and reporting them to your clients
Working with tools like GSC, GA4, Semrush/Ahrefs, Conductor, Screaming Frog, Majestic, and advanced AI tools
Staying up to date on new developments like E-E-A-T and GEO and actively sharing knowledge with the team
Building AI assistants and working with our own AI tool Bonzai to make your work more efficient
Guiding complex SEO migrations from start to finish without losing valuable traffic
Playing an active role in pitches and new business processes, translating SEO opportunities into concrete business value
Translating complex SEO/GEO issues into clear business objectives and understandable language that align with your clients' commercial goals
Regularly participating in advisory discussions and, thanks to your commercial insight, identifying valuable opportunities for our clients
Collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines, from optimizing landing pages for better organic conversions to aligning keyword strategies between SEO and SEA
You have at least 6 years of work experience in SEO, preferably in an agency environment
You effortlessly maintain an overview with your project management skills, even when managing tight deadlines and multiple projects. You have a strong sense of responsibility in this
Proactive communication with clients and colleagues. You dare to think (strategically) out-of-the-box to grow your client's results
Being strong with data and making strategic choices based on available data analyses. Analysis tools are your right hand in interpreting complex numerical data
You think diagnostically and always seek the real cause of SEO problems, rather than just addressing symptoms
Impact-driven prioritization: you use data to identify the highest-value opportunities and strategically allocate resources where they matter most
Combining different layers of analysis into one coherent picture - from technical SEO and content gaps to user intent, competitive analysis, and business objectives
You can quickly switch between different perspectives (technical, content, UX, commercial) to always find the right approach for each issue
Having a clear vision of the evolution of search (AI, LLMs, voice search) and translating these developments into concrete strategic opportunities for clients
Fluent in English (other languages such as French or German are a plus)
