SEO / GEO Specialist
Samsung is looking for an experienced SEO / GEO Specialist to take ownership of its organic search visibility across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered search platforms.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing Samsung's SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategy across its digital ecosystem. You will ensure SEO is embedded within broader marketing, commercial, and product launch initiatives, helping Samsung maintain strong visibility in an increasingly AI-driven search landscape.
This is a highly autonomous specialist position in which you will set the direction, define priorities, and drive execution. While supported by an external SEO agency, you will have full strategic ownership and decision-making responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
SEO & GEO Strategy
- Develop and execute Samsung's SEO and GEO strategy.
- Identify opportunities to increase visibility across search engines and AI-powered search platforms.
- Build and manage the annual SEO roadmap, including priorities, initiatives, and objectives.
- Ensure SEO is integrated into broader digital, marketing, and commercial plans.
Organic Growth & Performance
- Drive growth in organic traffic, rankings, and overall online visibility.
- Monitor SEO performance and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Define KPIs and measure the impact of SEO initiatives.
- Identify growth opportunities based on market trends, search behavior, and competitive insights.
Technical SEO
- Lead technical SEO improvements across Samsung's digital platforms.
- Assess and advise on crawlability, indexation, site architecture, metadata, page speed, and structured data.
- Work closely with development teams and external agencies to implement recommendations.
- Ensure websites comply with SEO best practices and evolving search engine requirements.
Content & AI Search Optimization
- Develop content strategies supporting both SEO and GEO objectives.
- Conduct keyword research and advise on content structure and optimization opportunities.
- Ensure content is optimized for both traditional search engines and AI-generated search experiences.
- Support product launches and campaigns with dedicated SEO strategies.
Agency Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Samsung's SEO agency.
- Set priorities and provide constructive direction where needed.
- Ensure agency activities align with Samsung's business objectives.
- Monitor the quality, delivery, and performance of agency output.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Marketing, Corporate Marketing, eCommerce, and European Headquarters.
- Present insights, recommendations, and performance updates to key stakeholders.
- Build alignment and support for SEO initiatives across the organization.
- Participate in cross-functional projects focused on strengthening Samsung's online visibility.
Project Management
- Lead multiple SEO projects simultaneously.
- Support flagship product launches with dedicated SEO and GEO strategies.
- Coordinate activities across internal teams, agencies, and international stakeholders.
- Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What Samsung Is Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, Organic Search, Digital Marketing, or a similar role.
- Proven experience developing and executing SEO strategies independently.
- Experience managing and directing external agencies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of technical SEO, including crawlability, metadata, site architecture, page speed, indexation, and structured data.
- Strong knowledge of content optimization, keyword research, content strategy, and information architecture.
- Experience with backlink strategies and authority-building initiatives.
- Understanding of AI Search, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and the impact of AI on search behavior.
- Up-to-date knowledge of search engine algorithms, AI developments, and industry trends.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
