Service Engineer

MARPRO Group is looking for a Service Engineer.

At our client, they excel in maintaining, repairing, and calibrating maritime products. Their high advisory function is one of their core strengths. They exclusively represent renowned brands and can assist you with inquiries about other brands and services, including fixed and portable gas measuring instruments, safety equipment, cargo hoses, and more. Their clients include major shipyards, ship owners, design firms, traders, and more. Their services cater to all types of vessels, ranging from naval ships to luxury yachts, and from tankers to tugboats.

As a commissioning engineer, you are our (wo)man in the field and carry out an extremely important role within our company.

What will your tasks be?

You are the service engineer who makes the difference for the customers, you are the face of of our client. After internal and external training with the principals, you will work independently. You are responsible for commissioning, maintaining and repairing our products and systems.

Professional Competencies

• You have technical knowledge at MBO work and thinking level, preferably from a mechanical technician’s background


• Basic knowledge of the Dutch and English language are required, knowledge of German is an advantage


• Knowledge of electricity is an advantage


• Knowledge of the ship repair market is an advantage


• You are solution-oriented, flexible and accurate


• You communicate easily, both orally and in writing.


• Customer focus and solution-oriented working are among your core qualities


• You are able to work independently as well as in a team


• The position may have irregular shifts

Ze vertegenwoordigen uitsluitend gerenommeerde merken en kunnen u helpen met vragen over andere merken en diensten, waaronder vaste en draagbare gasmeetinstrumenten, veiligheidsapparatuur, ladingslangen en meer. Hun klantenkring bestaat uit grote scheepswerven, reders, ontwerpbureaus, handelaren en meer. Hun diensten richten zich op alle soorten schepen, van marineschepen tot luxe jachten en van tankers tot sleepboten.

Als service engineer ben je onze (vrouw) man in de buitendienst en vervul je een uiterst belangrijke rol binnen ons bedrijf.

Wat zijn je taken?

Jij bent de service engineer die het verschil maakt voor de klanten, jij bent het visitekaartje van onze klant. Na een interne en externe opleiding bij de opdrachtgevers ga je zelfstandig aan de slag. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het inbedrijfstellen, onderhouden en repareren van onze producten en systemen.

Professionele competenties:

• Je hebt technische kennis op MBO-werk- en denkniveau, bij voorkeur met een achtergrond als werktuigbouwkundig monteur.


• Basiskennis van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal is vereist, kennis van het Duits is een pré.


• Kennis van elektriciteit is een pré.


• Kennis van de scheepsreparatiemarkt is een pré.


• Je bent oplossingsgericht, flexibel en accuraat.


• Je communiceert gemakkelijk, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.


• Klantgerichtheid en oplossingsgericht werken behoren tot je kernkwaliteiten.


• Je kunt zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband werken.


• De functie kan onregelmatige diensten hebben.
