IMAGINE THE FUTURE WITH ENVALIOR

As Site Director Geleen, you will:

• Shape and execute the site’s strategy and operational plan, ensuring alignment with Envalior’s business objectives, SHEQ standards, and manufacturing goals.
• Provide leadership for both the Stanyl and DAB plants, driving seamless integration and operational excellence across these two interconnected facilities.
• Take ownership of safety management, crisis response, and full compliance with SEVESO III (a high-tier Seveso site) and all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing site management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and open, transparent communication.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders—including, Chemelot, CSP representatives, regulatory authorities, and industry partners.
• Manage the operational relationship with the daily operator of our asset and the ownership of the commercial contract resides with Procurement.
• Oversee cost control, budgeting, and long-term financial planning
• Champion change management, leading the organization through transformation, integration, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and leverage an up-to-date talent pool, proactively identifying and engaging high-potential candidates for critical roles.
• Serve as the public face of the site, representing Envalior during crisis situations and in all external communications.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a technology discipline.
• More than 10 years of professional experience, with significant leadership experience in manufacturing or chemical plant operations.
• Proven ability to lead complex, integrated operations and manage change in a high-stakes environment.
• Deep knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE), SEVESO III, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong risk management, crisis leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and a relentless drive for continuous improvement.
• Excellent people manager and coach: able to engage, develop, and inspire teams.
• Customer mindset and external focus; able to operate at tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
• Must live within 40 kilometers of the Geleen site (non-negotiable for safety and operational reasons).
• Proficiency in Dutch and English preferred.
